Wrong sub-section
[edit]I think the current leader's image, is in the wrong sub-section. GoodDay (talk) 15:40, 13 October 2024 (UTC)
Updates to political positions section
[edit]The source for the political positions section is outdated by nearly 11 years. It seems strange that it hasn't been updated since then, but there might be some reason that I don't know. Also, I myself am not Canadian, and maybe their positions are the same as they are from 10 years ago.
I would like some confirmation on whether to change the source. California nerdin' (talk) 21:13, 27 February 2025 (UTC)
- Things haven't really changed in over a century in Canadian politics -Canada is weird anomaly

- A statement like "thing's haven't really changed in over a century in Canadian politics" indicates that you know nothing about the history of Canadian politics, and therefore shouldn't be acting like an authority on the matter. 76.67.38.96 (talk) 17:33, 29 April 2025 (UTC)
- Things have not dramatically changed over the last decade; they are still on the right half of the political spectrum. We Canadian editors generally like to take a longer view of things when it comes to ideology and position, cognizant of the major parties all being big tents — thus liable to be nudged in one direction by one leader, and nudged in another by the next. Considering that the current leader is generally regarded as moving the party rightwards, but his immediate predecessor was seen as more centrist (after first winning the leadership by running as the right-wing candidate), we could be in constant discussion as we try to hash out the precise position of the party, which sounds exhausting and not especially helpful for anyone. "Centre-right to right wing" suffices for the infobox; particulars of the current leadership can be explained in the body and prose if noteworthy. — Kawnhr (talk) 18:31, 29 April 2025 (UTC)
